The Mountain Hideaway

Tucked away in the village of Allemont is a small and very comfortable hotel called La Douce Montagne Auberge with 15 rooms available most of the year round. During winter the shuttle bus stops just outside the hotel and it takes you up to Oz en Oisans and Vaujany from where you can easily access Alpe d’Huez by cable car. In summer the hotel is really popular with cyclists and hikers alike. It has a small swimming pool and a sunny garden and terrace to unwind in.

Alpe d'Huez has a good selection of apart-hotels (apartment buildings with hotel facilities) that are great for groups or families sharing accommodation.
