Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Afrojack, DJ Polaar and many more will be spinning their hits live on the slopes of Alpe d'Huez as the ski area transforms into a magical kingdom with shows and events popping up everywhere.

We were all saddened to hear that Tomorrowland Winter had been cancelled last week due to the French Government's instructions to avoid any gatherings larger than 5,000 people, which has been reduced to 1,000 people in the last couple of days. However, the team at Sata Ski, the company that manages the Alpe d'Huez ski area, have come up with a new event that is set up to be even better: Magical Week.

There will be no large concerts. Instead, world-renowned DJs Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Afrojack, DJ Sinnermen, DJ Polaar, Stephane dos Santos, Anion X, DJ Snow and DJ Pierro – plus more still to be confirmed – will take over the mountain restaurants and slopeside bars in Alpe d'Huez for dozens of more intimate sets.

Tuesday, March 17th and Thursday, March 19th will be the big days, with the lifts running until late so that we can enjoy the sunset from the slopes – which are currently sporting impressive snow depths reaching over three metres on the highest runs. There will then be special apres-ski events with the resort's main street, the Avenue des Jeux, being closed off to traffic on Tuesday and the local ice rink turning into a huge superclub on Thursday. Throughout the week, there'll be live music, shows and event all around town with all of the restaurants and bars in Alpe d'Huez, both on and off the slopes, organising special gigs.

There's also a 25% last-minute discount on one to five-night stays in local hotels, including accommodation and ski pass, starting at only €120 per person!

With excellent snow conditions, sunshine on the forecast, massively discounted prices and the promise of non-stop fun, this will be the best week to come to Alpe d'Huez this season!
