Driving around resort

If you're driving you'll have more freedom to visit the other resorts that are close by, however, parking can be difficult during peak seasons and it’s not exactly ideal for the environment. If you do drive, carpool when possible and ensure your vehicle has winter tyres or chains between late November and early April.

Mountain biking in Alpe d'Huez

Biking around Alpe d'Huez

Alpe d'Huez is a popular destination for mountain and road bikers so you'll see a few bikes around the resort. However, the resort is small enough to walk around rather than needing a bike to get around on.

On foot

The town itself is easy to navigate on foot, but if you want to venture further afield during the winter season we'd recommend the bus or a taxi.
