January

• 13th to 17th January – 19th INTERNATIONAL COMEDY FILM FESTIVAL
  • A must for all movie fans at the Le Palais Cinema, in its 19th year. A guaranteed laugh for all!
• 16th & 17th January – SYMPHON’ICE
  • Ice climbing and mountain film making congress, in a purpose prepared “ice building” up at 2100m at the DMC, includes films and workshops.
• 18th to 23rd January – FRENCH REGIONAL YOUTH SUPER “G” SLALOM CHAMPIONSHIPS
  • Regional youth Super “G” championships at the Piste de Vachettes (Marmottes 1 lift). The stars of tomorrow showcase their skills.
• 19th January - Star Wars the Force Awakens screening
  • The eagerly awaited blockbuster “Premieres” at the Le Palais Cinema. May the Force be with you
• 23rd January – DERBY DU LOUP – Multi-discipline/Multi terrain race
  • Organised by the Oisans region Piste Security Services (Mountain Rescue) Professionals and amateurs battle it out over different ski disciplines over all types of mountain terrain.
• 30th January – ESF LA JOURNEE D’ENFER – ESF “HELL” DAY
  • A family team challenge, 3 people – 5,000 metres of hellish vertical drop – are you up for the challenge?.........

February

• 7th February – FRENCH REGIONAL U’18 SLALOM CHAMPIONSHIPS
  • French regional under 18’s slalom championships at the “Signal” lift and slope back to the DMC, see the stars of tomorrow in Alpe d’Huez.
• 24th & 25th February – ROSSIGNOL ON TOUR – “Ross on Tour”
  • Top ski equipment equipment maker, ROSSIGNOL, gives you the chance to try its whole new range of skis, boards boots and equipment at the DMC lift.

March

• 5th & 6th March – LES CRISTAUX - Children's alpine ski race series
  • Gentle “downhill” races for children between 4 and 12 years old on the nursery slopes. Have you got a budding Bode Miller or Lindsey Vonn in the family?.
• 26th & 27th March – OFE X DAY – A day with Ophelie David – Ski cross champion
  • Local girl Ophelie David, the 4 times X-Games Gold Medalist and 2011 World Champion, runs her own event to introduce ski-cross to children. Learn from the very best….
• 26th & 27th March – “MUNDIALITO” INDOOR FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT
  • Indoor football tournament, organised by local team Olypique Huez, at the Palais des Sports et des Congres. Bring your boots……
• 30th March to 2nd April – SKI OPEN COQ D’OR
  • The 22nd Annual COQ D’OR ski open, an open event for boys and girls 10 to 14 years old, organised by the French Federation of Ski Instructors.

April

• 9th & 10th April – 5th SKI FEDERATION CUP
  • 600 competitors between the ages of 13 to 30 battle it out in a series of “head to head” elimination races over a Giant Slalom course.
• 15th to 17th April – FESTIVAL DE LA BANDE DESSINEE – COMIC BOOK FESTIVAL
  • If comics is your thing, then this isn't to be missed…..at the Palais des Sports et des Congres. Inspired comic authors will meet, greet and sign dedications……
• 16th April – SARENNE SNOW BIKE
  • 16km of adrenaline fuelled mountain biking, start up on the snow at 3330metres and finish up in the alpine meadows of the village of Huez at 1460metres, down the World famous Sarenne Black run. Over 2000metres of vertical drop…..not for the faint hearted……
• 23rd & 24th April – CLOSING OF RESORT
  • With the lifts closing for the season on Sunday 24th April its party time here in resort. End of season sales in shops and closing parties in bars and restaurants as we bid a fond farewell to another fantastic season here in Alpe d’Huez. And of course we look forward to 2016/17, when we will do it all again...
