There's plenty happening as we approach Easter

There's always plenty of things to do here in Alpe d’Huez, many of them away from the slopes, so here's your guide to the upcoming events happening here over the next couple of weeks, there really aren’t enough hours in the day – so put these dates in your diary…

Friday 11th March

  • 10am – Creative workshop at the Palais des Sports et des Congres
  • 2.30pm – Discover curling session at the Ice Rink

Saturday 12th March

Sunday 13th March

  • 7pm – Ice hockey at the Ice rink

Monday 14th March

  • 6pm – Welcome drinks at the tourism office

Tuesday 15th March

  • 10am – Creative workshop at the Palais des Sports et des Congres
  • 10.30am – Guided trip to the Pic Blanc – meet at the DMC lift station
  • 2.30pm – Discover curling session at the Ice Rink
  • 6pm – Night sledging – Eclose slope (behind the leisure centre by the school)

Wednesday 16th March

  • 10am – Creative workshop at the Palais des Sports et des Congres
  • 2.30pm – Guided tour of the Church
  • 5.30pm – Guided tour of the Museum
  • 6pm – Badminton tournament – Palais des Sports et des Congres

Thursday 17th March

  • 10am – Creative workshop at the Palais des Sports et des Congres
  • 10.30am – Guided trip to the Pic Blanc – meet at the DMC lift station
  • 1pm – Sledge racing – lower slopes of the DMC
  • 5.30pm – Indoor football tournament – Palais des Sports et des Congres
  • 6pm – Night skiing on the Signal slope

6pm- Night sledging – Eclose slope (behind the leisure centre by the school)

6pm – Squash tournament – Palais des Sports et des Congres

6.15pm – Classical music concert – The church (by the leisure centre)

Friday 18th March

  • 10am – Creative workshop at the Palais des Sports et des Congres
  • 2.30pm – Discover curling session at the Ice Rink

Sunday 20th March

  • 7pm – Ice hockey at the Ice rink

Upcoming Events

Alpe d'Huez hosts a wide range of events throughout the year. In the winter, you can expect motor racing on ice, comedy festivals, ski races and various live music gigs. During the summer months, the focus turns to cycling with the Tour de France usually passing through town. The Megavalanche, a mass-start mountain bike race that draws thousands of MTB fans from around the world, takes place in July.
