1. Palais des Sports et des Congres

The Alpe d'Huez Sports and Conference Centre offers over 20 activities, with free access for Carte Premium holders.

Facilities include

NB: Swimming costumes must be worn in all areas of the pool and men of all ages have to wear Speedo-style trunks which can also be rented on site. No board shorts allowed.

Patinoire Exterieure Municipale (Ice Rink)

2. Outdoor synthetic skating rink

Location
Alpe d’Huez

Situated in the heart of the main street (Avenue Les Jeux) is the patinoire (ice rink) – in the middle of town underneath the shadow of the Royal Ours Blanc Hotel.

It's open to the public and also hosts curling sessions, ice hockey demonstrations and local team Alpe d’Huez play their ice hockey home games there. The fantastic floodlights make for a wonderful alpine setting.

Entry is free with a Visalp pass (skate hire extra). It also has a curling rink (booking advised) and there is the possibility of booking ice skating lessons.

It’s always worth checking the public opening hours – as these can vary dependant on time of year and other usages (i.e ice hockey matches, etc).

So if you're in resort and looking for something different to do, then slip along to ice rink and don’t let the opportunity slide away.

3. Open Air Swimming Pool

Alpe d’Huez

Open throughout the season you can enjoy this large outdoor swimming pool in the heart of Alpe d'Huez.

With paddling pools for children, a sauna and a large lane swimming pool there is something for everyone. Enjoy the wonderful mountain views whilst you take a dip.

Men and boys must wear swimming trunks/speedos (not shorts), they are available to rent at reception.
