2011 London Ski Show

What to look out for this year at the Ski Show

featured in News & reviews Updated

Winter starts this weekend in London with the annual Ski and Snowboard Show. This year the show is back in its old venue of Earl's Court and, as usual, there is plenty to do. To help you make the most of the show we went ahead and came up with a list of our top five attractions for this year.

1 - The Tresspass Big Air. There are five demos a day on the huge hip at the end of the hall. British ski and snowboard champions like Murray Buchan, Mikey Wakefeild, Billy Morgan and Andy Nudds will be spinning and flipping for your entertainment. Go and cheer them on.

2 - Landrover Fashion Shows. Another popular sight that's back again at this year's show. Lots of new kit worn by very pretty, very flexible people. We liked the Pullin underwear section of the show.

3 - APO Design a Snowboard Competition. Head over to the APO stall and draw your ideal base and top sheet graphics, if your design is picked it'll be made into a snowboard.

4 - Learn about the toys you want this winter. A trip around the stalls at the show will mean you meet some of the friendliest and most knowledgeable staff in the industry. Have footbeds custom made, learn about new flex patterns and check out all the latest equipment and innovations.

5 - The girls in catsuits. They have something to do with an energy drink, or a shot....or something. I wasn't really paying attention to the flyers they were handing out.

The Ski Show will be on for two more days, Saturday and Sunday and is open from 11am until 10pm. Tickets are available on the door and you can get there either by bus, tube or one of Boris's bikes, which you can park just across the road.
