Captain Sandwich Restaurant Review

Good Value Sandwiches & Fast Food

I try to sniff out restaurants that are slightly off the 'main strip' of a ski resort. If you're lucky and find somewhere frequented by locals the restaurant will usually offer better value, fresher products and a friendly environment when compared to the 'traditional' restaurants geared entirely for tourists.

In the case of Captain Sandwich I was not disappointed. I chose a chicken fillet baguette, which came garnished with pesto, grilled cheese and fresh tomatoes. The bread was lightly toasted giving it a soft and crunchy texture and the fillings were warm and tasty.

I would happily eat there again, so if you're hunting for a quick bite in Alpe d'Huez you can do a lot worse than going to see the Captain!

You'll find them just behind the swimming pool in the centre of Alpe d'Huez.
