Alpe d'Huez, Europe's Best Ski Resort 2019
Crowned for the second time at the EDEN Network awards
Votes have been cast and Alpe d'Huez has been chosen as the Best European Ski Resort for the second time by the EDEN (European Destinations of Excellence) Network.
Created by the European Commission, the EDEN Network aims to promote sustainable tourism across the EU by supporting the best destinations in the continent, comprising over 350 destinations from 27 European countries.
More than 120,000 people from 100 different countries voted in the contest, breaking all records in terms of participation and social media shares. Alpe d'Huez was not only chosen as best overall but also as Best For Guaranteed Snow and as the second Best For Families, only after Avoriaz. The resort had already won the competition in 2017.
