New Year's Eve in Alpe d'Huez
Seeing in the start of 2016 in Alpe d'Huez
New Years Eve celebrations certainly got underway with a bang here in Alpe d’Huez, albeit in somewhat tricky visibility. Celebrations got underway at Les Bergers at just after 5.30pm with a torchlight descent by the ski instructors of ESF Ski School, with hundreds of blue, white and red torches forming a fantastic French tricolour, a truly wonderful sight.
The massive crowd gathered at the bottom of the slopes were then treated to a fantastic firework display, which even a bit of low cloud cover couldn't dampen.
This event happens annually here in resort, and really isn't to be missed if you are here next New Years Eve.
