ESF Ski Show

Torchlit descent, cheer leaders and a firework display

Imprint
By Rob Wood, Updated

Last night the slopes of The Signal here in Alpe d’Huez were truly lit up in fantastic style by the instructors of ESF Ski School, as the huge crowd were treated to the second of three torchlight descents to coincide with the U.K and French Half Term Holidays.

The event kicked off at 6.30pm and entertainment included formation skiing, old fashioned skiing, Nordic skiing, snowboard tricks and jumps, a huge torchlight descent and the grande finale of a fabulous firework display.

These displays are annual events and take place on 3 consecutive Wednesday's in February (in general the week before the UK half term, the week of the U.K half term and the week after the UK half term).

Starting between 6.15pm and 6.45pm – depending on dusk/sunset – if you are here in resort, this is not to be missed.

The third and final event is next Wednesday 24th February at 6.45pm at the signal slope (at the top of town/DMC lift station).
