Friendly event for all ages with an appetite for the outdoors

Whether you're a complete novice or an expert, there is something for all - discover climbing, safety and rescue workshops, climbing rallies, and tea, coffee and cake.

There are drinks and a barbeque and possibliity of sleeping on site in a tent or caravan.

If you're interested in participating in the climbing discovery workshop you should register in advance - open to all from aged 8 plus. Equipment will be provided.

Alpe d'Huez hosts a wide range of events throughout the year. In the winter, you can expect motor racing on ice, comedy festivals, ski races and various live music gigs. During the summer months, the focus turns to cycling with the Tour de France usually passing through town. The Megavalanche, a mass-start mountain bike race that draws thousands of MTB fans from around the world, takes place in July.
