The Chamois d'Or hotel in Alpe d’Huez has earnt a fifth star after a year's long effort to refurbish much of its interior. In doing so, they have become the first hotel in Alpe d’Huez, and indeed in the Isere region, to be bestowed that illustrious luxury rating.

The hotel has been lovingly updated to provide a modern, inviting an homely atmosphere, catering equally to discerning adult holidaymakers and families. The charming interior evokes memories of a distant alpine past, a setting that belies the modern sports resort aesthetic of much of the rest of Alpe d’Huez.

The Chamois d'Or, which lies at the top of the resort right next to the slopes and ski schools, offers maximum convenience and luxury. A special kid's club keeps the little ones entertained while a spa brought to you by Parisian cosmetics brand NUXE gives the adults some R&R after a day on the slopes. Their elegant restaurant serves gourmet dishes created by chef William with local produce, inspired by the mountains.

The first step on an unstoppable race to turn Alpe d'Huez into the ultimate upmarket resort!
