The l'Alpenrose Hotel is the resort's most modern and luxurious, with a four star rating, heated outdoor swimming pool, steam room and cardio fitness area. Its mountain side location means that it benefits from great, uninterrupted views which you can enjoy in either winter or summer.
For a hotel with a more traditional feel, try the Chamois d'Or Hotel which boasts open fires in some of its larger suites, a spa, swimming pool and beauty or massage treatments on demand.

You probably couldn't get closer to the bottom of the Rond Point des Pistes and the DMC lift than 3 star Hotel le Dome, which is a mere 100 metres away. Choose from 23 bedrooms a suite or a studio, most of which have a south-facing balcony.

La Sarenne Club Med offers an all inclusive package that is perfect for families, offering plenty of activities both on and off the pistes for kids of all ages. For something on the cosier side, Le Petit Prince hotel is well suited to families, with it's own kids club to keep the little ones busy.
Tucked away in the village of Allemont is a small and very comfortable hotel called La Douce Montagne Auberge with 15 rooms available most of the year round. During winter the shuttle bus stops just outside the hotel and it takes you up to Oz en Oisans and Vaujany from where you can easily access Alpe d’Huez by cable car. In summer the hotel is really popular with cyclists and hikers alike. It has a small swimming pool and a sunny garden and terrace to unwind in.

Alpe d'Huez has a good selection of apart-hotels (apartment buildings with hotel facilities) that are great for groups or families sharing accommodation. Choose from the Chalet des Neiges with apartments for up to 16 people, Maeva Residence Les Melezes with a ski-in ski-out location, or three under the Pierre & Vacances brand - L'Ours Blanc, Les Bergers and Les Horzins d'Huez. Alternatively the Moontain Hostel, offer shared dorm rooms for larger groups, it's a new concept in Oz where everything is geared towards the digital generation and payments are cashless.
