Gadget Alert! Swatch Watch Snow Pass

Imprint
By Jess Whiskin, Updated

The winter season may well be over for this year but if you are a keen skier and have a convenient birthday coming up, the ‘Swatch Watch SnowPass' is an interesting gadget to add to your wish list ready for winter 2011.

‘Snowpass' are a specific series of Swatch watch models, fitted with a chip which can be loaded with your ski pass. Whether it be a day, week or season pass you can access and buy your ski passes directly in resort or indeed online for certain ski areas.

700 ski areas worldwide are equipped with the relevant software and we reckon it is a nifty way to avoid flapping cards which fall out of your pocket and to beat the liftpass queues, gaining that precious extra half hour on the slopes.

We are very excited to see that many of our Skinets.com destinations are covered including Courchevel, Méribel, Val Thorens, Verbier, Alpe d'Huez, Les 2 Alpes, Chamonix, Tignes and Val d'Isère.
