Every Tuesday evening in Alpe d’Huez local ski and snowboarding school ESF run an introductory session in night snowboarding.
With warmer temperatures now well and truly with us a bit of evening snowboarding is a fabulous way to spend an early evening.
Meeting up at the ESF chalet “office” up at the DMC at the top end of resort, the sessions get underway at dusk (times vary throughout the season) and last two hours. Sessions cost €20 per person and are subject to a minimum of 4 people attending.
ESF also offer the wonderful opportunity to try night ski touring here in Alpe d’Huez every Tuesday and Thursday evening. The tours run from dusk and last for two hours and really are a great way to try the fabulous variance of skiing that is ski touring.
With the warmer temperatures that are with us as April is now with us, there really is no better time to give it a try, the views of resort from up on the hill at night are truly breath-taking. The tours start and finish at the ESF Chalet “office” which is situated up at the DMC at the top end of town.
The tours cost €40 and include all the necessary equipment, head torches and an ESF instructor.
