Le Roy Ladre Restaurant
Cosy pizzeria and Italian restaurant tucked away on a cobbled street in the old town
It's a family run Italian restaurant, popular with locals and holidaymakers and for that reason alone it's worth popping in to make a reservation instead of chancing that you might be able to drop in and get a table. Just as you come into resort is the old town area, home to some great pizzas. Le Roy Ladre is located down a little cobbled path and is very cosy – it only seats around 25 to 30 customers and is typically alpine in its décor.
All the pizzas here are named after local ski runs, such as Le Signal (cheese, tomato and ham), La Sarenne (tomatoes, cheese, bacon, onions, mushrooms and cream) and the top of the range La Forêt, a wonderful pizza topped with tomato, cheese, peppers, artichokes, mushrooms and olives. A true favourite with locals, seasonnaires and visitors alike, it’s always really busy so it's best to book in advance. Everything is freshly prepared to order and it can be a little bit slow at times but it’s genuinely worth the wait.
The menu offers a good choice of pizzas and they also have a selection of pasta dishes and some lovely steaks.
Open seven days a week from 18:00 to 23:00.
