Le Trappeur is a small, relaxed restaurant at the top end of Alpe d’Huez, just a short stroll from the DMC lift. It’s got a cool, surf-skate feel with fun little details like skateboard wheel coat hooks and a laid-back playlist to match.
The main attraction here is the burgers, widely considered among the best in the resort. The menu offers plenty of choice, from classic beef to chicken and veggie options, and includes their signature Jack Daniels burger, a towering stack of bacon, hash brown and barbecue sauce. You can go for a single, double or even triple pattie depending on how hungry you are.
Alongside the burgers, there are also ribs, pizzas, salads and sweet crêpes, with American beers on offer too. Open for both lunch and dinner, Le Trappeur also provides free chalet delivery in the evening if you fancy a cosy night in with your burger.
