Give something different a try on your trip to Alpe d'Huez - either in winter or summer

Based at the bottom of the Signal slope opposite the DMC lift station at the top end of town is “Baptemes de l’air” (tandem paragliding flights). The fully trained guys up there offer a range of paragliding experiences to suit all budgets and tastes.

The cheapest option is for a “flight” from the top of the Signal slope, out over the valley over the 21 bends up to Alpe d’Huez and finish off down at their office at the foot of the Signal slope – this option is yours for only 45€.

For 120€ you can take in a flight that explores the 21 bends of Alpe d’Huez and the town of Bourg d’Oisans at the bottom of the hill – again starting from the top of the Signal slope up in resort.

For those of you who fancy a little more altitude, then why try the flight from up at the Clocher de Macle at 2700metres back down to resort at 1850metres – for 105€. Or alternatively from the top of the Dome des Rousses at 2800metres back to resort at 1850metres for a cost of 120€.

And for the real altitude junkies amongst you out there then why not try the flight from the top of the Marmottes3 lift at 3060metres back down to resort at 1850metres for 150€. Or why not fly all the way down the mountain to the town of Bourg d’Oisans at the bottom of the mountain at 700metres (a drop in altitude of over 2400metres) for 240€.

All the “flights” are tandem and as such you are in fully trained safe hands all the way down.

Watch the video to see what its all about and then why not give it a go…..
