The movie that has taken the cinema world by storm, La La Land, premieres here in resort next Wednesday (22nd February) at Le Palais cinema in the leisure centre in the middle of town.
The original version screening (no dubbed voices) starts at 17:00 and the film is 2 hours 8 minutes in length.
The story focuses on Mia (played by Emma Stone) and dedicated jazz musician (Ryan Gosling) struggling to make ends meet whilst pursuing their dreams in modern day Los Angeles. This musical is about everyday life and what is more important, the spotlight or a once-in-a-lifetime love….
The movie is a real “they don’t make ‘em like that anymore” experience.
It’s been nominated for virtually every award possible – 51 in total across the globe – and recently swept the board at the BAFTA’s and Golden Globes, and now it’s just a matter of how many Oscars it will pick up.
The cinema costs €8.50 for adults (€7.50 with a carte premium) and given the popularity of the film booking is recommended as many seasonnaires, ex-pats and visitors are sure to pop along.
