Mountain rescue on Aiguille Dibona

The PGHM (mountain rescue services) were called out on Friday afternoon (1st July) to rescue a climber who had fallen and lost consciousness.

The accident took place above the Soreiller Refuge in the Aiguille Dibona area of the Ecrins National Park. The 55 year old man fell several meters and was knocked unconscious.

He was attended by the PGHM and mountain medics before being transferred to Grenoble hospital where he was treated for concussion and a number of cuts.
