Nike's 1st Snowboard Boot Premiers in Alpe d'Huez
There's only one pair on this side of the Atlantic and they had their first taste of snow this week in Alpe d'Huez. You can see by the photos that I'm talking about Nike's first ever snowboard boot, the Zoom Force 1.
Based on the ever-popular trainer, the Air Force 1, the boots are only available in the US. Attempts to buy online and export them to Europe have been scuppered by the US Customs officials so if you want to ride them this winter you'll need to pop across the pond and hit the stores.
The boots are available for men and women in black and blue, black and gold, all white and white with a pink trim for the girly girls. They'll be hitting stores in Europe in the Autumn. You can find out more about Nike's snowboarding range here.
This particular pair of Zoom Force 1s were brought to resort by holidaymaker Alex Pickett, who works for Nike in London. Let's give him the benefit of the doubt and assume his staff discount accounts for his super co-ordinated Nike outfit. Alex is in resort with close friend and self-proclaimed celebrity, Duncan Ross, former Smithy's barman and alpedhueznet Aprés “Reporter”.
