Where can I change/draw out money?

featured in Resort FAQs Updated

There are several Banks in the resort, including Credit Agricole (next to the small Casino Supermarket), in the old town, CIC Lyonniase (on the main street) and Bank Rhone Alpes (at the end of the main street), Banque Populaire des Alpes (in the Les Bergers commercial centre) and BNP Paribas (near the DMC lift at the top end of town), all of which are “manned branches” and also have ATM’s outside. There is also a post office (La Poste) in the resort (next to the Mairie’s office near the small Casino Supermarket).

Please note that most banks in France close on Sundays, Mondays and all public holidays. They also take the traditional lunch break of 12am to 2pm, so if you need to speak to a cashier make sure you have checked their opening times first. Euros are the currency in all French resorts and these can be drawn out of ATM cash points when the banks are closed using most international credit cards. You can also change money at the Bureau de Change on Avenue des Jeux .
