1. Baan Thai Take Away Restaurant

If you want to change your cheese-based Savoyard diet when in Alpe d'Huez, try the resort's own Thai take away joint.

They serve all your Thai favourites made with fresh ingredients, including Pad Thai, curries, fried rice, noodles, nems and more.

There is limited bar-style seating at the restaurant, or you can order to take away or for delivery.

Open every day during the season from 12:00 to 14:00 and from 17:00 to 21:00. You can also order in advance and just pick up your food on site.

At lunchtime you’ll notice that most restaurants offer a well-priced plat du jour or dish of the day. It usually comes with locally sourced meat, potatoes and either a salad or seasonal vegetables.

Almost all the restaurants in the resort are child friendly, especially if you let them know in advance. Evening meals are generally served from 19:00 and if you arrive then you’ll find the atmosphere quieter than later in the night.
